Born in Hagerstown, Maryland, Kerry Davis became a transplanted southerner when her family relocated to Marion, NC in the late seventies. She received her bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of North Carolina at Asheville, followed by a master’s degree in clinical psychology from Appalachian State University. She worked within the Catawba County mental health system focusing on children and families. Kerry currently lives in the Lake James area with her husband of 24 years and teenage twins, Ben and Eliza. Kerry’s oldest son, Joseph, is a freshman at Appalachian State University. She invests her time in community volunteerism and serving on the Vestry and Discernment Committee at St. John’s Episcopal Church. When not overwhelmed by the chaos in the Davis family, Kerry enjoys reading, painting, interior design, and sewing 19th century-inspired clothing.
